The diagram above compares the number of workers in Freedonia by sex in several particular types of job as of 1975. It is immediately apparent that the number of male and female workers varied considerably in every sector. However, all sectors were dominated by men which total of them was always higher than female employees.

In detail, the sector which the proportion of male and female workers was fairly similar was communication. Both had approximately 230-250 workers. In sharp contrast to this, there were extremely gap between men and women employees in finance/banking and public (defence) sectors while the males were twice as likely to work in manufacturing than females. It indicated that at the time, female employees were difficult to advance their career in the sectors.

In addition, it clearly can be seen from the diagram that there were only approximately 20 women worked in public sector, a relatively small proportion compared to men, an even the smallest proportion compared to women who did a job in other sectors. Turning to the most popular sector, the working area which the greatest number of workers were employed was the public sector (non-defence).
